"I find it strange that the Republican position on this law is still stuck in the same place that it has always been. They still can’t bring themselves to admit that the Affordable Care Act is working. They said nobody would sign up. They were wrong about that … They were wrong to keep trying to repeal a law that is working when they have no alternative answer."

President Obama. Youtube of his address.

Every day since Obama signed The Affordable Care Act on March 23, 2010 into law, nearly every Republican prediction has been wrong.

Turns out people will sign up if you fine them when they don’t. Who knew?

Saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier, today. I expected some subtle undertones. What I got was heavy handed messages saying “don’t trust the government” “stop the NSA” and “Ron Paul warned us”.
Needless to say, I enjoyed it.

Trvililisation of rape culture at its finest

This is a PSA that women are too fragile and hysterical to handle a different opinion to their own, and you MUST just coddle them like overemotional toddlers that might throw a tantrum if not humoured
I swear, I just love it when 21st Century Feminists in Murrica have the same opinion of women as your average upper class Victorian gentleman

That’s what bothers me as well.
I am not some hapless Victorian biddy. I’d much prefer a harsh truth to a lie designed to protect the “fragile female brain” the Victorians and third wavers claim women have.

It’s extremely insulting to women And enforces the stereotype that women are weak and overemotional
Now you see why I left. Feminism is becoming, ironically, misogynistic.

Plot twist: “Strong, independent women” are actually weak and pathetic.

"Although comparing women and men who are in fact comparable is not easy to do, when you look at women and men who are similar on multiple factors, the sex differential in pay shrinks drastically and gets close to the vanishing point. In some categories, women earn more than men with the same range of characteristics.

If the 77 percent statistic was for real, employers would be paying 30 percent more than they had to, every time they hired a man to do a job that a woman could do just as well. Would employers be such fools with their own money? If you think employers don’t care about paying 30 percent more than they have to, just go ask your boss for a 30 percent raise!"

Because we believe that good guys with guns is the best way to stop shootings from happening.

Since then, we had shootings in the Washington Navy Yard and Fort Hood. Two places full of good guys with guns, and people still get killed.

Good job America. Can’t…

A religious leader literally preaching to kiss the wealthy’s ass. There is something so incredibly disgusting about this.

Plus, I really don’t think Mr. Christ would approve …

Well, a very large portion of America owe the rich everything they have. So there’s that.

Oh, kind, benevolent rich overlords, let us lick your boots, lest you may not let the wealth trickle down to us.

We owe the rich nothing. They pay us for our time, they pay us for our expertise, they pay us for doing what they can’t or won’t do for themselves, and make profits off of our labor.

Capitalism DOES NOT WORK without the low income laborer. It does not work without each class division filling their niche.

The rich still need workers to perform tasks needed to run their companies, they still need consumers to buy their products.

If anything the rich owe us for utilizing our time, energy and/or expertise to fuel the machine that gives them profits.

The rich pay a market price for labor in a free market, where wages are determined by supply and demand. Wages are exchanged for labor at a rate agreed to by both parties. However, today in America the poor owe the rich because the rich, through significantly higher taxes, pay for the livelihood of the poor in exchange for nothing. The poor give nothing in this arrangement while the rich give the poor a significant amount of their income that the poor did not earn. Ergo, many, many people in America owe the rich a lot.

In case anyone was wondering, “A Voice for Men” is a piece of rape apologist, sexist, bullshit. It’s a hate group. For fuck’s sake, it says that telling men they shouldn’t rape people is “bigoted”.

It is, because you’re implying that the default state if men is ‘rapist’.
Which is fucking sexist bullshit.
Aka, ‘bigotry’.
Don’t hurt yourself thinking too hard about that.

Really? Men want to make all these weak ass “women should be in the kitchen jokes” and then they want to pull shit like this Fuck u top chef Canada and ur sexist bullshit

A woman’s place is in the kitchen, unless we suddenly want to act like being in the kitchen is respectable difficult work. Then women need to get the fuck out, right?

This is a promo ad for a “battle of the sexes”. There’s a promotional poster for the women’s side too, featuring the same setup, with the words “Is that all you got, boys?” But of course, OP didn’t take a picture of that one.
